This is a 45 year old and very rare,
    heavy-gauge plastic**
vacu-formed kit, complete in its original box.
    Please see #1 photo for
    complete contents.
The kit was produced in Santee, Ca. by Victor 66 in a quantity of less than 75 units. The pre-production model shown in the photos 2 & 3 was built by an experienced and talented modeler who also created the very detailed and comprehensive 8-page instruction booklet included with the kit. Despite the not-very-detailed nature of the vacu-form method of production, this kit can build into an excellent representation of the Martin 4-0-4 aircraft....see enlarged views of the advertising flyer!
Building this kit is recommended only for the most experienced, patient and resourceful
    modeler!
    It
may be necessary to purchase other model kits
or parts to obtain recommended components, although most can be scratch-built if desired. The included and very detailed 8-page booklet thoroughly explains construction techniques, sourcing/making of detail parts (propellers etc) not included in the kit and much more. The amazingly detailed 3-view plan drawing sheet (22" x 18") represents the finished model at full size!  The
    decals
    are V-66 original art but,
due to age, should be considered as unusable
other than for copying, Photo-shopping to remove discoloration, and printing a new set on your color printer. The original corrugated cardboard shipping
    box is in poor condition.
    * The boxed model
    will be
shipped inside of a larger secondary box
to protect the original box from damage.
** The heavy gauge plastic makes for a very sturdy model! Use caution if you decide to build this model, the age of the material makes it a bit brittle and care must be exercised in cutting out the pieces and in handling them after they are removed from the sheets.

*I sell a wide variety of items and am not knowledgeable enough in all areas to spot deficiencies that might be more critical to some collectors than to others. It is possible, or even likely, in some cases, I may overlook something that is important to you so please don't hesitate to ask questions before bidding.
If you think my shipping charge is excessive, please let me know, and if you are correct, I'll revise my estimate prior to shipping to your exact location. On cheap items, please keep in mind that it is difficult to bury the cost of a new box, packing materials, Ebay and Pay Pal fees etc. in the selling price of the item. Also, I pay a substantial weekly fee to UPS for pickup in addition to the actual shipping cost.
Thanks very much for visiting and considering this item!
